Six tools, one travel journal
Map
The heart of the app. Visited countries, flight routes as geodesic curves, photos pinned at their capture location and GPX tracks.
Visited Countries
Whole countries or specific regions. Colours are automatic; intensity depends on the number of visits.
Flights
Import from FlightRadar24 or add manually. Airports by IATA code. Route colour is customisable in Settings.
Trips
A container for an entire holiday - photos, videos, GPX, notes. The wizard creates a trip from flights automatically.
Photos
GPS coordinates = automatic pin on the map. Lightbox, assign to a trip or upload standalone.
Statistics
An overview of everything collected - countries by continent, flight counts, longest trips, yearly breakdown.

Born from personal need
Other apps always do only part of the job - either flights, or a diary, or just routes. Or a map with nothing else, and poorly divided on top of that. If you haven't used the app for a while, getting your data back in is a nightmare.
True Travel Map was built as one place for everything - map, flights, trips, photos, GPX tracks and statistics. And with a map that truly understands where you've been.
The app runs on a commercial server that I pay for out of my own pocket. It's free, ad-free and open to everyone. Further development is possible based on requests - just reach out.
Large countries are divided into regions - you mark exactly where you've actually been. Additional countries can be added on request.
Indonesia and other large countries can be divided on request.
